Why hiring a Personal Trainer in Droitwich could ruin your weight loss goals and what to do to lose weight, tone up the thighs, flatten the stomach AND ultimately regain your confidence

Hey I'm Matt Smith,

That's me on my birthday about to do some indoor skydiving!

I'm a Personal Trainer in Droitwich and I want to tell you why hiring a Personal Trainer in Droitwich could ruin your weight loss goals,

And what to do to lose weight, tone up the thighs, flatten the stomach AND ultimately;  Regain your confidence

Here's a short story about a frustrated mother who wanted to lose her baby weight and re gain her confidence.

2 years ago I had the challenge of transforming Mrs D's body to get her ready for her wedding day.

Together we did it and she looked beautiful in the wedding pictures.

18 months ago I had the challenge of helping Mrs D keep as much weight off as possible while she was pregnant with her first child.

I must add in here that Mrs D gave birth to an extremely gorgeous and healthy little boy.

Around 8 months ago I started to help Mrs D on her mission to lose the baby weight she inevitably gained while being pregnant.

But for some reason, this time it didn't work. The weight didn't shift.

Some would say it's because Mrs D was only exercising once a week,

Some would say it's because of the sleepless nights,

Others would say it's because she had no accountability to stick to the nutrition plan,

I would say it was a combination of all three and maybe even some other factors as well.

But then something amazing happened.

Mrs D started to lose her baby weight,

The inches and pounds literally started to fall off!

Mrs D also started to experience other benefits such as;

She was no longer bloated,

She had more energy,

More confidence,

And all she had done was one simple thing..

Mrs D joined a results driven group training program.

After a couple of months of not seeing results since starting back with me Personal Training

Mrs D Dropped a Dress Size in less than 30 days!

She found that having the accountability of being part of a group training program helped her stick to the nutrition plans and turn up to every 30 minute session 3 times a week for just 4 weeks.

**If you want to see Mrs D's amazing transformation pictures then click this link (it's my personal Facebook page if you wandered what it is)** ... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=552155621512179&set=pb.209613182433093.-2207520000.1386585821.&type=3&theater

To be precise Mrs D actually lost 15lbs and 13 inches in less than a month!

6 months on and Mrs D is still a dedicated and committed member of the Matt Smith Fitness family here in Droitwich.

So to sum up,

Although hiring a Personal Trainer in Droitwich could help you lose weight (I still Personally Train about 30 clients a week)

It may not be for you.

You may need that accountability of being a member of a results driven group training program,

**Note: a Bootcamp or exercise class where you can just turn up when you like that has no structured and progressive training program or doesn't offer any nutritional support ISN'T a results driven group training program.

You may need to work in a group where every member faces the same fears and frustrations as you do,

You may need the online support of a members only group for when it gets tough (because it does get tough at times which is why the members only online support group is there)

And if you're still in doubt as to whether or not a results driven group training program is for you then why not come and try it out for a week for FREE?

Just click here to apply.. https://mattsmithfitness.wufoo.com/forms/1-week-free-trial/

So there you have it,

Why hiring a Personal Trainer in Droitwich could ruin your weight loss goals and what to do to lose weight, tone up the thighs, flatten the stomach AND ultimately regain your confidence

I'm quitting the fitness industry!

Today I'm going to challenge you to beat me

The competition were going to have is based on last week's events

And is titled:

I bet my problems are worse then yours!

How good does that make you feel already

The fact that Super Matt has problems too!

In fact let's rewind a bit and change the word problems for challenges.

So here's a list of the challenges I've faced this week that made me say at one point:

"I'm quitting the fitness industry"

Someone told me they question my level of expertise after witnessing me do this in a little over 3 months:

I've had to part ways with 3 very dedicated clients

I've not seen my 1 year old son Jude for 5 days due to being out serving people from 6am-9pm

A muscle went into spasm in my shoulder which meant I couldn't do any exercise (this was of course my biggest challenge)

My trainer (yes I've got a trainer and I'll maybe go into that this week) has cut my carbohydrate intake by 10%!!!

And get this..

Someone actually called me a 4 letter word!

All of these challenges made me really contemplate my future in the fitness industry.

I told myself I'm no good and I almost acted on what I was telling myself based mostly on the opinions of others

But then something happened

I had a chat with the misses (behind every great man and all that) and she told me to get the stresses out of my life and focus on everything that is good about it

Without hesitation I did that

As soon as I switched my thinking; almost by magic, I started receiving positive comments from clients

I even got a Thank you card from the members of the Body Transformation Program!

I've also had around 30 applications for a free strategy call with me (you can apply for that here by the way.https://mattsmithfitness.wufoo.com/forms/free-online-strategy-session/)

My shoulder pain has gone

AND my trainer has told me I can up my protein intake (this news was so good I actually high fived myself!)

Oh and I've also eliminated most, if not all, of the negative people in my life, including the lady, yes lady, who called me that 4 letter word.

The moral of the sorry is this....

You get more of what you focus on.

If you focus on being overweight, that's what you'll be,

If you focus on all the stresses and negativity in your life you'll get more of them

You'll adjust your actions to fit your thoughts and your self-talk.

What you need to do is focus on who you want to be,

Who you want around you

But most importantly you need to focus on the body you want,

Imagine the ideal shape of your body,

Imagine the ideal size of your body,

Take a look in the mirror right now and imagine you have the body you want

Feel how it feels to have YOUR perfect body

Feel how it feels to have health and fitness levels that you want,

Focus more on that than where you are right now and I promise,

It will change the way you think, the way you act and the results that you will get

I'll teach you HOW to do all that on the other side of your free strategy call

Again you can apply for that here.. https://mattsmithfitness.wufoo.com/forms/free-online-strategy-session/

Oh and I'm not quitting the fitness industry just yet!

Remember:

"Quitters never win and winners never quit"

Stay focused and I'll look forward to seeing you on that free strategy call, that link one last time https://mattsmithfitness.wufoo.com/forms/free-online-strategy-session/

You'll always be FAT!

It's 31 degrees,

There are half naked people everywhere,

And I'm walking round the pool with the best body in sight!

A culmination of 12 weeks of high intensity training and a super strict diet (90% of the time) has resulted in me having THE beach body!

***That's not me but it's a pretty good beach body right?***

Fast forward 1 week

It's now cold, wet and windy,

I'm back in the UK after my holiday in Spain.

And one of the first things I do is jump on the scales.

7lbs!

7lbs on in just 7 days

It's a new record!

And last night I discovered why this had happened

You'll say it was because I went in an all inclusive holiday,

You'll say it's because I didn't do any exercise

You'll also say it's because I had a full English followed by pastries and pancakes for breakfast,

A 3 course lunch,

And a 4 course dinner

EVERY DAY!!

Now although all of the above is true,

That's not WHY I put on 7lbs.

What happened was my habitual instincts of 'you must do what you can to survive' kicked in,

And that's also what happens to you and every other human being on the planet when you have a CHOICE of what and how much food you put in your mouth.

Your habitual instincts tell you to eat as much as you can.

Hence why you'll always be fat!

This goes back to our caveman days when food was scarce.

And there's not much you or me can do about that.

Seen as us humans act rationally first then try to justify logically after;

We're all fighting a very steep up hill battle when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off.

But there's more bad news,

Your body likes to stay in its comfort zone in terms of its weight,

So when you try to change your weight in anyway, be it up or down, you will encounter even more resistance.

The reasons for this is because your CNS (Central Nervous system) has a continuous conversation with your body fat.

As soon as your body fat levels change, alarm bells start to ring.

You see, your body fat % is controlled by two EXTREMELY important hormones.

Leptin

And

Insulin

Leptin tells you when you are full and helps you break down fat for energy

And insulin stimulates lipogenisis (takes sugar and stores it as fat).

Simply put, If you eat a diet high in foods that promote leptin levels to rise,

You will feel fuller and your body will break down fat for energy resulting in weight loss

Conversely, if you eat a diet that stimulates insulin,

All that will happen is the majority of that food will get stored as fat.

Here's another spanner in your works:

The more you cut your calories

And the more exercise you do,

The more your body tells you to eat more to make up for this deficit.

This leads to

You 'NEEDING' to eat more.

However, with all that being said,

The good news is there are people out there with the body that you dream of

And if they can do it so can you.

All you need is 2 things

1. The right guidance

And 2

Will power that is stronger than your habitual instincts.

Even more good news is both of those can be acquired and learned.

If you are on a weight loss mission your first port of call should be to hire a coach who not just talks the talk but also walks the walk

And if you're already doing that then my next bit of advice is to follow their recommendations at least 90% of the time.

But THE MOST important bit of advice I can give you is to set yourself a goal weight and do everything in your power to achieve that!

Get the resources you need,

Hire the trainer,

Buy the books,

Watch the DVD's

And stay focused!

Because if you don't

You'll always be fat!

A resource that is available to you right now is me!

I'm offering 10 FREE 1 hour Online Strategy Sessions on how you can reach your goals.

5 ways to boost Confidence and 1 thing you didn't know about me

5 ways to boost Confidence and 1 thing you didn't know about me..

Who would want to do a thing like that?

Who would intentionally set out to hurt someone, be it physically or mentally?

Some people don't know they're doing it,

The kid who bullied me through most of my high school life, did.

He knew exactly what he was doing,

What he didn't realise was that later in life I'd use it to my advantage!

From the moment I left school I was determined to build a strong body to protect myself against bullies in the future,

But I didn't stop there,

His bullying inspired me to want to be super successful, a kind of 'I'm going to be better that you' mindset developed.

Now don't confuse that as arrogance because one of my favorite quotes is "at the end of the game, all of the pieces get put in the same box".

And I'm the last person to think that any one person is better than an other,

My thoughts were just relative to this situation.

So there you have it, the one thing you didn't know about me:

I was bullied at school and instead of letting it effect me, I used it as the fuel for my fire.

So in a way I should probably thank Mr Bully because without him I wouldn't be the person I am today.

Which leads us nicely on to: 5 Ways to increase your confidence.

1. Use a negative past experience as a positive, whatever it is, search for how you can turn that situation around, like I did with Mr Bully. Because I wanted to build a bully retardant body I actually developed a bucket load of confidence in the process.

2. If you're not happy about your current situation, don't sit there feeling sorry for yourself, do something about it.

The only person stopping you from getting the life you want is you, and once you start taking the first steps to getting that life you want you will see your confidence grow.

I see that in my clients almost every week, they see their bodies changing, their fitness improving, the health improving, their mental clarity improving and all that helps towards the end goal of increased confidence.

3. Act as if.

What do I mean by that?

Simple, Act as if you were the most confident person in the world, in fact, here's a task for you to do now..

Go to a quiet place where no one can see you, now close your eyes (read the rest of this first then close your eyes) and picture the most confident person you know.

Then I want you to stand how they stand, breath how they breath, see what they see, act how they act, do all this with your eyes closed, keep feeling the feelings that Mr/Mrs confident is feeling, feel your chest lift higher and higher, feel a big confident smile sweep across your face, keep standing tall and proud, then open your eyes and say to yourself 'Whatever challenges I face today, I'll handle it'.

That my friend is something called visualisation and it's one of the oldest but most powerful tricks in the book. I recommend you do this at least 3 times a day, every day for a month.

4. Repeat number 3. That's how good that one is!

5. Asses then act.

Whenever you face any situation where a certain amount of confidence is needed, assess it then act.

Most people do the former but then never do the latter.

Why?

Fear.

Lets break a situation down,

How about approaching the opposite sex, it might not be because you want to cavort with them, it might just be that you need to talk to them for something.

If you do want to cavort with them then I suggest you watch this.. Top 10 chat up lines

But because of past life experiences you asses, feel the fear, then don't act.

So let me teach you the way to successfully assess then act.

There's 3 stages.

1. Work out what is the worst that can happen.

2. Work out what you can do to prevent the worst from happening

3. Act based on the facts that have been presented to you.

So in our situation the worst that can possibly happen is the other person refuses to talk to you, maybe you might muck up your words and maybe just maybe you'll trip up just before you get to them and land face down right at their feet.

That's the assessment bit out of the way.

Now you have to work out a way to prevent that from happening, in this case it's easy,

1. Ask an open question (open questions are questions that can't be answered with a yes or a no) that way they have to engage in conversation with you, it would be rude not to.
2. Plan what you're going to say and then take a big breath before you get to the other person
3. Plan your route to them making sure there are no trip hazards in the way.

Which leads us on to number 3.

Act based on the facts that have been presented to you.

In this case, you can choose to go and speak to the opposite sex or you can walk away, the best thing is, it will be your choice what happens next, not theirs.

And that will build confidence like no ones business.

Think about it,

You made that decision

Therefore you are in control of your life

And to be in control of your life guess what attribute you must posses.....

As if you need me to write the answer here!

That's all for now so stay confident ya'll.

A confident body, nice cars and a huge house!

A confident body, nice cars and a huge house

The next time you think about complaining that you hate press ups and you don't want to do them, don't tell me, tell this guy...

The next time you think about complaining about how hard it is to eat clean, healthy, nutritious, health promoting food, don't tell me, tell this guy who was caught scavenging in the bins for something to eat

The next time you think about complaining that it's to cold to go out and exercise or how you can't be bothered to go to the shops to get your food, don't tell me, tell this Eskimo family that have to hunt for their food EVERYDAY in temperatures as low as -40 decrees C

The next time you think about complaining that you can't be bothered to exercise to build a strong healthy confident body, don't tell me, tell this lady who has spent most of her life in a wheelchair.

Is it really that hard to Move your body for just 30 minutes 3 times a week?

Is it really that hard to go out in the cold in your nice warm coats, hats, scarfs and gloves?

Is it really that hard to chose fresh, whole, colorful foods from the supermarket or the butchers and the farm shops and then take them home and cook them in your lovely warm kitchen?

Of course it isn't.

Take a look around,

Look at what the human race has accomplished,

We've sent a man to the moon,

Created the internet and computers to go with it,

Cars,

Sports Arenas,

Hospitals,

The bomb that one day could destroy all of us.

The list goes on.

What I'm getting at is it's really not that hard to make that commitment and go out and get whatever it is you desire in life.

You can have it all if you wan't!

The dream job/ career or even business

The dream body

The nicest cars

The biggest house

Ultimate health

Masses of confidence

A perfect relationship

Whatever it is you desire,

It CAN be yours!

And the proof is out there,

Someone has the biggest house,

Someone has the nicest cars,

Someone has fantastic health,

Someone has the best body!

Why Can't that person be you?

The only person stopping you is guess who,

YOU!

The only difference between winners and losers is this:

Winners are prepared to do what losers aren't!

You can be a loser

OR

You can be a winner,

The best thing is, the choice is yours.

If you wan't a confident body, nice cars and a huge house

Go out and get it and STOP MAKING EXCUSES!

If that's not enough motivation watch THIS

How British gas raising their prices can get you losing weight

How British gas raising their prices can get you losing weight.

Have you seen this in the news today?

It's everywhere,

and I'm sure if it's not going to effect you it will effect someone you know!

I am of course talking about British gas raising their prices.

You can check out the story here... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/consumertips/household-bills/10384949/British-Gas-hikes-annual-energy-bills-by-more-than-120.html

I'm not going to go off in a rant about this one purely because it's great news!!

Why is it great news?

Well because it can really help with your fat loss goals.

You see *boring sciency bit coming up*

Your body loves operate at about 37.5 degrees C

If it warms up to much, it sweats to release heat to cool you down - university of the bloody obvious!

And when your body temperature drops below that number it has to create heat to warm itself up.

Ever shivered from being out in the cold?

Or when the boiler packs up in the winter?

That's your body creating heat.

Which is why it's good news that the energy prices are going up.

Rather than rely on the powerhouses that are multi-million dollar energy companies to heat you up

Use what god (or your parents if you're a non believer)  gave you..

YOUR BODY!

If you hadn't already noticed (which I'm sure you have because you're a clever SOAB right?) your body is a super complex but extremely clever piece of machinery!

It's main purpose is to survive.

Given the choice between freezing to death OR using it's stored energy to warm you up thus keeping you alive, it will ALWAYS go with the latter.

Yes you did just hear me say 'using stored energy'

And you've guessed it, that stored energy your body uses to keep you alive is the very thing you're trying to shift..

FAT!!

Great news huh?

So take solace in the fact the the energy prices are going up and turn the heating off,

Have colder showers (I wrote a piece on that HERE)

Eat more raw foods (amazing for increased health, unless it's raw chicken, that'll probably kill ya!)

And before you know it you'll be coming out of the festive season looking and feeling a lot better than you went in!

You do want that don't you?

And that is how How British gas raising their prices can get you losing weight!

Here's the best bit,

As I've not only given you another AMAZING tip on how to lose fat,

but I've also saved you a shed load of £££!!

And with that money you've saved,

You can invest in your health further by signing up to the Droitwich famous 'Body Transformation Program' Starting November the 4th.

The BTP is 4 weeks of carefully planned fat melting workouts split up into just 12, 30 minute sessions (3 a week)

You'll also get nutrition plans AND shopping lists designed to boost your health and confidence to astronomical levels!

I couldn't make it any easier for you to get in great shape and feel healthier!

To have a chance of getting on it you need to apply via email to info@mattsmithfitness.co.uk

Or you can keep your money, buy loads of Terry's Chocolate Oranges and sit wondering why you can't get the body you want

The choice is yours! (that's from a TV show but I can't remember where, 10 points if you can tell me who said that?)

Until next time

How the drunk Pilot can help you lose weight..

How the Drunk pilot can help you lose weight..

Did you see this in the news today?

(I'm not one for listening to the news purely because it's full of negativity and drivvle most of the time.)

But I couldn't help overhearing the conversation a couple were having in the gym about this 'Drunk Pilot'.

Apparently this guy was on his way to the plain to fly 177 passengers to Islamabad from Leeds!

Now I've got some great tips on how a drunk pilot can help you lose weight but first let me tell you about a recent conversation I had with a client of mine..

It does have something to do with the whole intoxicated pilot thing so stay with me..

My client has just returned from her holiday,

This sparked a conversation about the allowed weight of a suitcase before the airline company add astronomical charges to your booking.

I then went into rant mode and posed the question..

How can an airline company charge me (12 stone) £20 extra if I'm 1kg over on my allowance yet charge 40 stone Derick behind me absolutely nothing because his case is bang on the 20kg limit?

Surely there should be some sort of 'combined' allowance where passenger and luggage have to be weighed?

Then again, very few Americans would be able to leave the country without having to remortgage their house if this were implemented!!

(Let me think that one through for a while but I could be onto something there, what do you think?)

Anyway, back to how Mr Drunk Pilot can help you lose weight..

It's simple really, and when you see it you'll kick yourself..

You see Mr Drunk Pilot couldn't do his job properly because of a toxin that he knowingly put in his body.

(see where I'm going with this?)

All he had to do was make one different decision that day and his 20 something year career would still be intact.

He had a choice, the same choice you have with what you put in your body day in day out, and he chose the wrong one.

''OK Matt'', I here you say, ''tell me how this will help me lose weight''.

Are you ready for this?

Because if you're not, then you can always hit the big X at the top of your screen and come back when you are....

The way Mr Drunk Pilot can help you lose weight is.....

Don't do what he did..

Don't put a toxin in your body before you're about to do what you're body is supposed to do.

So what is your body supposed to do?

Simple..

Your body is supposed to function with the least amount of effort to produce the maximum amount of function.

Your body is a machine,

A machine that merely carries you and your mind.

Think about that for a second.

What else is your body designed to do apart from the above?

It's not really.

So answer me this..

Why, as a race, do we continue to fuel it with the wrong types of fuel?

Cliche time..

You wouldn't put diesel in a petrol car..

SO STOP PUTTING THE WRONG FUEL IN YOUR BODY!

Our friend Mr Drunk Pilot had a choice of what he put in his body and so do you!

And don't use that excuse of ''but healthy food is too expensive Matt'' Because I bet that whatever device you're reading this from cost more than my weekly shop!

And what about the car on your drive?

The mortgage or rent you pay on your living quarters?

The weekend out?

The weekend in?

I could go on forever but you get my point.

You see all of the above are excuses I hear time and time again from people who value possessions more than their health,

But you're not like that because you're reading this,

You're one of those motivated so and so's who is willing to do what it takes to get results!

Now you've got this far I'm going to leave you with this..

Put the right fuel in your body and you will not only lose weight but I guarantee you,

You will lose fat,

Because lets face it, if you weighed the same but looked and felt amazing, would you even care what the scales said?

Of course you wouldn't.

So here's your challange...

When you go shopping this weekend:

Don't buy anything with a cartoon character on the box

Don't buy anything that's advertised as 'low fat' or 'no added sugar'

Don't buy any alcohol

Don't buy any cigarettes

Don't buy anything off the counter near the checkout (including the magazines that harp on about how a celebrity lost 1000000lbs in a week!)

Only buy fresh, whole, single ingredient foods.

Fruits (berries are best as they're full of body protecting antioxidants)

Vegetables (packed full of fibre, the green ones contain something called indole 3-carbinol which can help you lose fat from your hips thighs and bums)

Meats (full of protein - the body's cell building champion),

Fish (full of protein and healthy fats that can actually help you burn fat),

Poultry (a very lean and filling version of protein),

Sweet potatoes (nutrient packed tasty source of energy),

White Rice (gut friendly source of energy),

Coconut oil (an absolute powerhouse of a food, just google it and see for yourself)

Nuts (Almonds and macadamia rule the roost for me with this food, full of anti-inflammatory fat burning fats and cell building proteins, an amazing snack any time of the day)

Seeds (similar to nuts, full of healthy fats and protein),

I'll stop there because you're one of the smart one's who knows what good quality fresh whole food is.

Give it a go and I promise you that in just one week you will see a massive difference in your mental focus,

Your energy levels,

Your digestion,

And yes, your physique.

So go take control of your actions, your body but more importantly your health and do what the drunk Pilot didn't do..

Make the right choice!

That my friend, is how Mr Dunk Pilot can help you lose weight.

Matt 'cliché' Smith

6 packs and firm bums!

Some say weight loss is as simple as calories in < calories out.

And those people are right.

However, do you really want to lose weight?

Or do you want to lose fat?

After all, that's the ugly stuff that no one likes right?

Now to lose fat, not weight, it's NOT - calories in vs calories out..

BUT

WHAT calories in vs WHAT calories out.

You see, a calorie is NOT just a calorie when it comes to what your body does with those calories.

I had quite a heated debate recently with another ''trainer'' who was making these comments to newbie gym goers..

''I can get you losing weight by eating mars bars, and putting weight on by eating broccoli!''

(Talk about sending the wrong message!)

Now before you ask me for his number because that sounds like the kinda diet you want to go on...

Let me tell you a little bit about what your body does with different types of calories..

Fat calories:  used for insulation, metabolism of fat, used for energy, transportation of nutrients.

Protein Calories: used for cell repair and growth.

Carbohydrate/Sugar calories: Used to provide energy for high intensity exercise, stored in fat cells if not utilized properly and over consumption can de-sensitize insulin leading to conditions such as type 2 diabetes.

Before we go any further with this, let's take the average westerners lifestyle and try to find out why we aren't all walking around with 6 packs and firm bums!

The average westerner probably starts their day by getting up and eating cereal (sat down) if they have time for it.

They then drive to work (sat down)

Then they sit at work and maybe snack on some form of processed bar of something,

Then, they sit and have a carbohydrate dense lunch, something like a sandwich and a sugary drink,

Then they drive home,

Maybe go to the gym and plod away for 45 minutes on a treadmill or some other form of monotonous, poor posture promoting single plane movement machine that raises cortisol levels so high it's impossible to burn belly fat, (Eddie Izzard springs to mind again.. 47 marathons in 51 days and was still fat at the end, here's proof...)

Then they drive home, sit on the couch while their carbohydrate packed dinner cooks in the microwave,

They then sit and eat aforementioned meal in front of the TV before tootling off to bed sometime just before midnight before they repeat the same thing the next day.

BUT WAIT!

Then it gets to Friday night and because Mr/Mrs Westerner has had a stressful week they then sit down and eat a carb laden takeaway washed down with some form of alcoholic (sugary) beverage, or 5!

**Because it's the weekend and they've worked hard all week and maybe hit the gym a couple of times**

They now feel they can reward themselves, like we reward our pets, with more processed, carbohydrate heavy food and more alcoholic beverages.

In a nut shell, the main macro-nutrient being consumed by Mr/Mrs westerner is Carbohydrates or sugar (cereal, bread, pasta, alcohol)!

And as over consumption of carbohydrates, especially the wrong types of carbohydrates, is responsible for desensitising insulin (the hormone that basically decides whether or not those carbs get strored as glycogen or fat)...

It's easy to see why the western world has an obesity problem.

Now if Mr/Mrs westerner, or anyone for that matter, takes in less calories and simply moves more thus having more calories go out, then they will lose ''weight''.

However, the weight they are losing will mostly be muscle mass, a lot of water and some fat (their body will keep fat because this is more important than muscle when it comes to survival)

Now if Mr/Mrs westerner were to eliminate the wrong calories (Processed sugary foods/drink, alcohol), kept the right calories (healthy fats, proteins, fibrous carbohydrates and MOST single ingredient whole organic foods)

AND

Performed shorter, higher intensity bouts of exercise that focuses on using all the muscles in the body...

This would lead to fat metabolism!

How?

Because Mr/Mrs westerner would be training their body to increase lean muscle mass thus promoting the use of fat as energy as opposed to carbohydrates, especially when resting!

Here are a host of other benefits to eating healthy, whole foods and actually exercising less..

Muscle maintenance/ increase (when combined with the right training program)

Increased health,

Reduced stress levels (great for belly fat reduction and lower risk of heart disease)

Higher energy levels

But best of all...

Jealousy from friends, family and co-workers because you will have what they've always dreamed of..

A fully functioning, firm, healthy, energetic, head turning, confidence raising, fat burning machine of a BODY!

So the next time you're thinking of going on a diet, joining a 'weight loss group' that counts points, calories, uses traffic lights systems, blending everything in sight or whatever fad comes out next,

Spare a thought for what you actually want to achieve at the end of the process..

Weight loss.

OR, and I'll say it again,

A fully functioning, firm, healthy, energetic, head turning, confidence raising, fat burning machine of a BODY!

It's your choice.

Now here's a coincidence... I actually run a program that is specifically designed to get the results listed above!

If you're on it then you'll be seeing the benefits I've described and if you're not and want to know more, just send me an email to info@mattsmithfitness.co.uk and I'll tell you all about it!!

Get and stay healthy,

Matt
